Borgarnes is a friendly town only 72 km/44 miles from Reykjavik. With it´s closeness to nature it is easy to spend some tranquille time in Borgarnes and the town is also a great spot to stay in while taking short tours out to neighbouring attractions.

Near to Blómasetrið you will find the Settlement Centre, Hótel Borgarnes, Skallagrímsgarður botanic garden and the charming surroundings of the old part of town. Blómasetrið, Skúlagötu 13, er notaleg blómabúð í miðju gamla bæjarins en þar má einnig finna huggulegt kaffihús og notalegt gistiheimili.
